Royal Go-Kart Competition (6 – 10 April)

Held in conjunction with the birthday of the Sultan, this Go-Kart competition brings together go-kart enthusiasts from all over the world.

 

Kelantan Kite Festival (May)

Kelantan is well-known for its bright, colourful, beautiful kites known locally as `wau’. This festival sees a stunning display of `wau’ in the skies of Pantai Seri Tujuh, Tumpat.

 

 

 Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival (16 June – 2 September)

Malaysia’s annual sales carnival promises plenty of bargains and special discounts on lots of items from designer wear to electrical items to lighten the hearts (and pockets) of shopaholics nationwide.

 

Kelantan Traditional Food Fest (July)

This fest showcases the best in Kelantan cuisine with opportunities to sample authentic Kelantanese food.

 

 

50 Years of Nationhood Merdeka Celebrations (31 August)

Malaysians from all over the country get together to celebrate this historic event commemorating the country’s 50th foray into the state of independence, marked with a host of activities including parades, exhibitions and fireworks displays.

 

Kelantan Festival 2007 (September)

Held at The Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, this festival features  plenty of entertainment and performances as well as booths selling food, crafts and other wares, and various of acitivities for the whole family.

 

Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (2 – 29 November)

 

The country’s premier gastronomic event comes to town with some of Malaysia’s finest restaurants offering special promotions and exclusive menus for almost a month.

 

 

 

Malaysia Year End Sale Carnival (1 December – 1 January 2008)

This sale carnival is a much-awaited event for shopaholics nationwide as big-name stores offer fantastic discounts and bargains.
